During the 2020 lockdown the cheese catering demand had dropped significantly for De Kaasconnaisseur, so major adjustments were needed in order to reach its revenue goals. We guided key decisions and developed a scale-up strategy.

De Kaasconnaisseur, founded by Nick Spanhove is a cheese catering company that specializes in all-in cheese boxes. The company initially started out as a catering business for bigger parties. However, during the lockdown period in 2020 the business needed to be rethought.

We guided this transformation into a full e-commerce cheese business. De Kaasconnaisseur started out in Bruges, then expanded to neighbouring cities and nowadays it delivers in full Flanders. At the beginning of the journey there was a strong dependency on local bakeries. During the scale-up phase, we advised Nick to opt for a home delivery service, which also helped boost margin.

Provided valuable monthly workshops which focused on e.g. setting the right business goals, objectives and strategies.


Improving key metrics such as AOV, repurchase rate and conversion rate by understanding and facilitating the customer journey.


Implemented scale up strategy and expanded advertising efforts.
